The Gurno Wedding

June 2nd, 2017

Levi has been a close friend of ours for a couple of years now, so when Mike and I had heard that he had met a girl at school in Seattle, naturally we couldn't wait to meet her. When he had brought Sarah back to Coeur d'Alene, it was so transparent to us and everyone, really, that they were PERFECT for each other. So, naturally, I was completely elated when they asked me to photograph their wedding at Arbor Crest.

Let me tell you, their day was nothing short of magical. It is honestly not abnormal for me to cry at the weddings I shoot (future brides be aware), but man, I was a wreck all day. So much love radiating between these two and their families and friends. It was the absolute perfect day to kick off my 2017 season and it was REALLY hard for me to narrow this blog down. Enjoy!

The Menke Wedding

August 27, 2016

Ahhh, where to even start with these two? Kyle and Lindsay are one of the funnest (See their wedding party photos), most adventurous couples I've photographed. I mean, Kyle proposed to Lindsay after skydiving and during our engagement shoot we went sledding AND had a snowball fight per their request.

Their wedding at Cannon's Edge in GreenBluff, Washington was so organic and the backdrop to the ceremony was breathtaking! I could really witness throughout the day how much their friends and family absolutely adore them together and cheer on their relationship. They had so many "unique to them" details like the generational wedding dresses hung by Lindsay's, pizza for the reception, and let's just recognize the awesomeness of that getaway car. Kyle even made personalized mugs for each of his guys and Lindsay's bridesmaids each wore a minimalistic seashell bracelet.

So, so happy for these two and what a fun day it was for me. Enjoy!

The Varnell Wedding

August 20th 2016

Such a perfect summer day in Washington for these two high school sweethearts. Tyler and Ashley are one of those couples you meet and right away can tell that not only are they in love- but are best friends. That being said, they had one of the most tender first looks and couldn't stop smiling all through out their day. Here are some of my favorite shots from their wedding at Commellini Estate. Congrats again you two!

The Douglas Wedding

I met Parker and Rebekah about a week before their wedding as they had just flown into Idaho from their lives in Indiana. We did their engagement shoot a couple days before their big day and right away we had such an awesome time and quickly became friends. Their forest wedding, located in Rebekah's parents' backyard, was so intimate and so endearing. Every part of their day from start to finish was so joyful and heartfelt and it was so tough to hold back my tears! So, Congrats to the Douglas'! Your love is truly inspiring!

The Langsev Wedding

These two. Where to begin?! I have known Jason and Audrey for a couple years now and the only way to describe their relationship is: Inspiring. They couldn't be more perfect for one another. I've had the privilege of taking pictures of them while they were dating, when Jason proposed and then on their wedding day- so this was an emotional one for me! I'm so extremely happy for these two and their big day couldn't have been more perfect from start to finish! YAY LANGSEVS!

The Yost Wedding

These two! Such a special couple that radiate the most beautiful love for one another. It was such an honor to shoot their wedding this July at the Davenport Hotel in Spokane. They bubbled with joy all day long, making my job so incredibly easy, and on top of that had one of the best dance parties ever! Here are some of my favorite shots from the day. Cheers to Isaac and Nicole! Enjoy!

Dan + Lizzy

I've been wanting to blog this adorable engagement session of Dan and Lizzy for a while now and as I'm getting ready to shoot Lizzy's bridals tonight, I told myself that no matter what, I'm going to post it! So here we go!

We had a blast hiking through these magical purple flowers (that just so happened to match Lizzy's dress PERFECTLY) and then climbing to a cliff to watch the sunset over Lake Coeur d'Alene. I'm so incredibly happy for this gorgeous couple and am so excited to share these with you all. ENJOY!

Jason & Audrey Proposal

It was the perfect day. She had absolutely no idea.

Jason called me a few months back telling me his plan to propose to my dear friend Audrey. His idea involved hiking to the top of Higgins Point, one of their special places, and asked me and my friends at Allred & Co to take photos and film the whole thing.

Audrey thought she was taking photos of Jason's sister's family only to find out that we were waiting for her at the top.

Moments like these remind you why you do what you do. The pure emotion of capturing these huge life events are incomparable and unbeatable.

Cheers to two dear friends! Cannot wait for your big day this summer.

The Benefield Wedding

This session- one of my absolute favorites. Kelly and Brandon chose to have an intimate marriage ceremony on top of one of the most gorgeous mountains in Spokane. I mean, the view is seriously one of the prettiest I've seen. The ceremony was so heartfelt and emotional- exactly how getting married should feel. I was so honored to be a part of capturing this special day for these two friends!

The Osuna Wedding

Ricardo and Katy are two of the coolest people I've had the pleasure of photographing. For starters- they are so kind to those around them and deeply in love with one another. On top of that, they are foodies. What more could a photographer ask for? Oh yeah...and they're in an indie rock band that sings in English and Spanish.

See, told you they are special.

There were so many things about Katy and Ricardo's wedding that I absolutely adored. Every bit of who they are influenced their day down to Katy wearing her mother's redone wedding dress. In a culture full of wedding trends that come and go; Cataldo Mission, the music and the food were all so purposeful and genuine to themselves.  So here's to this incredible couple that I can now say are my friends! Brace yourself- it was hard to choose my "favorites".

The Allred Wedding

August 29th: Having your wedding outside in Idaho, it's rare you know what kind of weather you're going to get up until the night before the big day. Although the forecast said rain, windstorms and there had been some remnants of smoke from all the fires we had been having, Cari was the most relaxed bride I had ever seen. I knew it was because she didn't care about anything else other than marrying Josh. But, right before she walked down the aisle, the clouds parted and the sun unveiled its face to them and all of their guests.

One of my favorite things about photographing weddings is following the bride and groom all throughout the day and experiencing the joy and insane amounts of love that bounce off of them. You literally become a better person just by witnessing such love. No joke, I was wiping tears from my eyes as I was editing this wedding and reliving some of these special moments. So, cheers to love and cheers to my dear newly wedded friends: The Allreds!

The Holmes Wedding

August 8th: A giant forest, clover field, beautiful sun-lit pond and a gorgeous couple that couldn't be any more in love. Every moment of Thomas and Haylee's wedding was so genuine and heartfelt from their sweet first look to every speech that was given. Each detail show cased their fun, free spirited personalities down to the amazing barefoot sandals that Haylee's bridesmaids wore. I had so much fun capturing these two and their amazing love. Here are a few of my favorite moments from the day!

Josh + Cari

Let me tell you a little bit about this power couple: Josh and Cari are two of the most creatively brilliant people I know, are BOTH amazing photographers and are now engaged! We had so much fun on this beautifully overcast June day and got some amazing captures right before a huge thunderstorm hit.

Thomas + Haylee

Thomas and Haylee are two of the most genuine people you will ever meet and together they make one of the most amazing couples- completely destined to be together. Thomas lived in Hawaii; Haylee lived in Africa and their worlds collided when they met and fell in love after both moving back home to Idaho. I am so excited for these two and cannot wait for their big day this August!

Courtney Knight

The great thing about the Northwest is the diversity of artists in the area. One of them being my extremely talented friend, Courtney Knight. When Courtney and I talked about the idea of doing a product/portrait shoot, I was ecstatic! I adore her hand painted illustrations, knack for creating clothing (the girl can make literally anything), and her perfectly sun lit apartment. I had so much fun playing with the window light and moody tones. Here are a few of my favorite shots! Enjoy!

Courtney Gorman

Courtney and I met 3 years ago when she moved back to Idaho from Colorado and she quickly became one of my best friends. She's one of those people who isn't satisfied with mediocre relationships, loves listening to the stories of others and prefers quality over quantity. Here's some photos I took of her as we had some quality time together and adventured into the woods!
